1. NATIONAL YOGASANA SPORTS COMPETITION

Separate Yogasana Competitions for male and female competitors will be held in the following ELEVEN AGE GROUPS.

2. NATIONAL ARTISTIC (SOLO) YOGASANA SPORTS COMPETITION

 

1. 1. Separate competition will be held for male and female competitors.

1. 1. Two male and two female Competitors will be allowed to participate in the competition.

1. 1. Artistic (Solo) Yogasana competition consists of presentation of various asanas (postures) forward bending, backward bending, hand balancing, leg balancing and twisting, performed with music.

1. 1. It is synchronization of body movement with music (without break).

1. 1. Number of postures performed should be 8-10 of competitor’s choice.

 

• • Time duration for the presentation will be 150 to 180 seconds (2½ to 3 minutes).

• • The competitor will maintain each posture for atleast 5 seconds during the performance.

 

1. 1. The transition from one posture to another posture should be slow & Artistic.

3. NATIONAL ARTISTIC PAIR YOGASANA SPORTS COMPETITION

 

1. 1. National Artistic Pair Yogasana Competition will be held for male and female separately.

1. 1. One entry of male pair and one entry of female pair will be allowed to participate.

1. 1. Artistic Pair Yogasana consists of presentation of various Asanas (postures) forward bending, backward bending, hand balancing, leg balancing and twisting including pyramid making, performed with music.

1. 1. Both the participants will perform two different postures at a time. Performing same posture will be a disqualification.

1. 1. Body touch is allowed in the competition as per the discretion of the competitors.

1. 1. Making of pyramid will be given preference.

1. 1. Synchronization of body movements with music will be given top preference.

1. 1. Number of postures performed should be 8-10 of competitor’s choice.

 

• • Time duration for the presentation will be 150 to 180 seconds (2½ to 3 minutes).

• • The competitor will maintain each posture for atleast 5 seconds during the performance.

 

1. 1. The transition from one posture to another posture should be slow, Artistic and Synchronized.

4. NATIONAL RHYTHMIC YOGASANA SPORTS COMPETITION

 

1. 1. National Rhythmic Yogasana Competition will be held for male and female separately.

1. 1. One entry of male pair and one entry of female pair will be allowed to participate.

1. 1. Rhythmic Yogasana is also known as pair Yogasana. Rhythmic Yogasana Sports is the presentation of various asanas (postures) i.e. forward bending, backward bending, hand balancing, leg balancing and twisting performed with music.

1. 1. The same posture should be performed by the pair together.

1. 1. There should not be any body touch between the two competitors.

1. 1. There should be perfect synchronization of body movements with the music.

1. 1. Number of postures performed should be 8-10 of competitor’s choice.

 

• • Time duration for the presentation will be 150 to 180 seconds (2½ to 3 minutes).

• • The competitor will maintain each posture for atleast 5 seconds during the performance.

 

1. 1. The transition from one posture to another should be Slow, Rhythmic and Synchronized.

5. NATIONAL FREE FLOW YOGASANA DANCE COMPETITION

Number of Entries: Only One team from each State / Union Territory / Unit will be allowed to participate in the National Free Flow Yogasana Dance Competition in Junior age group (8-18 years) and Senior Age Group (18-35 Years).

 

1. 1. The team will consist of 5 players either all boys or all girls or boys and girls mixed.

1. 1. It is the presentation of various asanas (postures) including forward bending, backward bending, hand balancing, leg balancing and twisting postures etc. performed in dancing movements with music, preferably with some theme.

1. 1. The team can perform same postures/different postures / pyramids / free flow movements.

1. 1. There should be perfect synchronization of body movements with the music.

1. 1. Number of postures performed will be 8-10 combination of asana of competitor’s choice.

 

• • Time duration for the presentation will be 210-240 seconds (3½ to 4 Minutes).

• • vii. The competitor will maintain each posture for atleast 5 seconds during the performance.

 

1. 1. The transition from one posture to another should be Slow, Rhythmic, Synchronized and in dancing movement.

1. 1. The performance in the Free Flow Yogasana Dance Competition should be preferably with some theme

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

 

1. 1. A competitor can participate in two out of three events i.e. Artistic (Solo), Artistic Pair, Rhythmic Yogasana competitions plus Free Flow Yogasana Dance competition.

1. 1. Time: For starting performer should wait in standing pose/sitting pose but not in posture. Music will start then performer will start movement or posture. Counting of timing will starts when the music starts. For ending- counting of time will stop when the performer first join palms together for a bao or bend down for a bao. Returning should not be counted because some time after returning performer makes some additional movements that can create confusion.

1. 1. Preference will be given to the melodious, devotional and classical music.

1. 1. Competitor will strict their performance within the marked arena. .5 mark will be deducted every time (from the marks of performance) if the competitor/s cross or touch the arena line during their performance.

 

• • The competitor/(s) have to stay atleast for 5 Seconds in each Posture / Pyramid / Formation. Therefore if the competitor/(s) do not abide by the said rule for particular Posture / Pyramid / Formation, in that case that Posture / Pyramid / Formation will deemed to be cancelled and accordingly the number of postures will be counted by the panel of Judges.

 

1. 1. No Prop will be allowed during the performance of Artistic Yogasana Sports Competition, Artistic Pair Yogasana Sports Competition, Rhythmic Yogasana Sports Competition and Free Flow Yogasana Dance Competition.

6. NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL YOGASANA COMPETITION (MEN & WOMEN)

AGE GROUP: Separate Professional Yogasana Competition will be held in following two Age Groups for Men and Women.

 

1. 1. 21-30 years – (Men and Women)

1. 1. Above 30 years – (Men and Women)

Note:Only National Yoga Referees of Yoga Federation of India are eligible to participate in the Professional Yogasana Competition as per the Syllabus of the Competition of their respective age group. Competitor will maintain in each Asana for 15 Seconds during the Competition.

POSITIONS

 

1. 1. The aggregate of minimum and maximum marks given by the referees to each competitor/pair will be deleted and the mean of remaining two aggregate scores will be calculated to decide the final position.

1. 1. First six positions will be declared in each age group/event in Yogasana, Artistic Yogasana, Artistic pair Yogasana, Rhythmic Yogasana, Free Flow Yogasana Dance and Professional Yogasana Competition on the basis of merit of the scores secured by the competitors.

N.B.:In case any competitor is disqualified due to doping/underage/overage or any other factor then the rank/medal given to that competitor will be awarded to the next competitor as per merit.

OVER ALL GENERAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The overall General Championship will be decided on the basis of aggregate marks of the medals obtained in the Yogasana, Artistic, Artistic Pair, Rhythmic Yogasana, Free Flow Yogasana Dance competition and Professional Yogasana Competition as per detail given below:

 

• • Gold Medal ………….. 5 marks

• • Silver Medal ………….. 3 marks

• • Bronze Medal ………….. 1 mark

N.B.: For the pair/group event only one medal will be counted for deciding the overall general championship e.g. in the artistic pair although each competitor will be awarded medal for the position secured by them but for deciding the overall general championship only one medal will be counted and so on.

 

• • Over All General Champion: The State Team scoring highest aggregate marks will be declared over all General Champion.

• • First Runner’s Up Champion: The State Team scoring second highest scores will be declared over all First Runner’s Up Champion.

• • Second Runner’s Up Champion: The State Team scoring third highest scores will be declared over all Second Runner’s Up Champion.

DATE OF BIRTH

The cut out date for the age group of the player will be as stands on 31st December of the session of the championship for National /Federation Cup/Zonal /State /District Yogasana Sports Championship.
